| In
the past few years, Tawlia has had several petroleum companies
call and offer her veg and or soy candle wax by the ton. ii,,,
petroleum companies,,, could you imagine. So she asked for
samples to be sent along with the appropriate information. Upon
receiving them Tawlia calls Iilah into her office to check them
out and as soon as Iilah walks into the room, the first thing he
says is,,, "What’s that terrible smell?" Tawlia
informs him that these are the veg candle samples and in all
truth,,, they really did stink. So they studied the flame,, and
yes,, there was some soot,, and they didn’t burn much longer
than paraffin, yet the cost factor, ton for ton, was very
inviting,,,, and yes,,,, if it really was supposed to be
non-toxic, maybe a less expensive, secondary candle line would
help pay the bills.
Iilah
asks Tawlia to call up these companies and find out what they
solidified the veg wax with. Now it really gets interesting. Two
of these companies refused to comment on their solidifying
process, stating it was a patented process. With the third,,,,
Tawlia acted like they were interested to purchase veg wax by
the ton and as she went on with how pleased she was with how the
samples burnt, she then asked if what they used to solidify
their veg wax was the same product used to solidify their
paraffin wax, stating she was afraid they wouldn’t be
shippable, if it wasn’t. Well, iilah’s assumptions were
right. This company confirmed that both products were solidified
with variations of acrolyn,,, ,which is a deadly carcinogen in
itself.
Nowadays
God’s Children don’t understand the legal dynamics under
which businesses operate. We are taught to believe that when
buying one of any ten different brands of 100% whole wheat bread
from the grocery store, that people are actually buying a bread
made with only 100% whole wheat in it. No, no, no, perhaps 10%
of the flours used are 100% whole wheat or rye, yet they are
legally able to call it 100%.
I
hate to burst a lot of people’s bubbles’, but it’s the
same in the beeswax business. In fact, Canadian law states that
if a candle has 10% beeswax in it, it can be sold as a ‘pure
beeswax candle’. This is where many people have gotten a wrong
impression of the value of beeswax because they spent a lot of
money for "an expensive beeswax candle" (which was
only 10% - 60% pure) and it naturally burned almost as fast as a
paraffin candle. Is there any wonder why?
Most
conventional, 100% pure beeswax candles are made using most, if
not all, of the different parts of the bee comb; the cappings,
the comb and the foundation. The beekeeper thinks his wax is
pure, and sells it as so,, and swears by it, yet he doesn’t
realize that the bee comb foundations being stamped out
commercially by these new machines, has up to 70 % paraffin in
them, and now, even a lot of the foundation sheets are made with
a plastic core which is designed to melt at low temperature.
When this wax is incorporated into those cheaper, generically
yellow, commercial beeswax candles sold to churches and health
food stores, etc., you are not getting pure beeswax. These
candles do not produce negative ions nor do they burn with
golden halos.
Over
the past few years, you wouldn’t believe how many people have
copied the Pheylonian Literature and have gone into business
claiming their candles do all of what an Original Pheylonian
Beeswax Candle does. The ‘Award of Excellence’ was given to
Pheylonian Beeswax Candles by The Alive Health Magazine because
their product backs up their literature. They deemed Pheylonian
candles to be the healthiest, cleanest, longest burning candle
tested in North America. The Canadian Government featured their
amazing Pheylonian Life Lites in Canada’s Preparedness
magazine after doing extensive testing and a 127 page
documentation.. Filled with pure cappings beeswax, these
survival candles can be used for light, heat and work great as
an efficient lil’ cook stove, with no toxic residues, even in
small areas like a tent, car, etc. These same candles are
presently featured in the Canadian Geographic Magazine and were
a special featured item in the Lee Valley catalogues during the
millennium rollover. These accommodations and many more verify
the credibility that Iilah and Tawlia have openly been saying
about the quality of their product.
A
point to bee very wary of: Some cheaky-b-ligerant people have
copied Iilah and Tawlia’s original signature family product
line, including code names, and they have even added the
Pheylonian literature to their look-alike (not –burn-alike)
product line. Unfortunately many people are being fooled and
deceived into using these inferior products, all made for the
sake of a quick buck. If these kind of people are sneaky and sly
enough to steal all of this,,, without any permission or
honourable arrangement whatsoever,,, making it look like it is
they who did all the research and hard work,, imagine then the
quality of wax that goes into their candles, not to mention the
integrity of their wicking. When the right information is put
with the wrong product line,,,, somebody always suffers for it,
and we’ve had enough complaints from people who bought the
fakes, thinking they were ours. So tell your friends to bee very
wary about what they spend their hard earned dollars on when
buying a real beeswax candle. Once more, there is a life and
death difference between the edible or burnable products coming
from the tailpipes of the petroleum industry, verses the
natural, unspoiled nectars coming from Mother Natures most
succulent pollens. So take a moment to seriously evaluate your
choices in life, especially when it comes to what you eat,
drink, burn, and breathe. ii,,, do some research on the edible
emulsions put into foods as stabilizers, fillers and texturizers,
not to mention the petroleum based retarding agents used to
preserve all processed foods.
