My girlfriend and I stopped by your table in Harbourfront on Thanksgiving Day. She (Naoko) is the one that was leaving for Japan that week. I would like to share an interesting story about your ear candles.

Naoko and I were enjoying our last day together before she returned to Japan for who know how long. We had been an item for a mere 8 weeks yet I knew she was the one for me, although she had her doubts. Because she was going back home, we decided to break up. We did not want to part ways but felt it would be unfair to both of us to remain "attached." For some strange, unplanned reason we just happened to find ourselves at Harbourfront and then to your table. The for another strange, unplanned reason I thought since we have both never tried ear candling, it would be a great way to wind down our whirlwind relationship. So we purchased the ear candles, 2 [Pheylonian] beeswax candles, and your book (it looked like a very interesting topic).

After exchanging some parting gifts and tears we tried the ear candles. We set up the room with the other [Pheylonian] beeswax candles and some relaxing music. Naoko commented that when she was holding the candle in my ear she would be mesmerized by the flame. When it was her turn to get candled, she could feel the inside of her head clearing up. Then, a remarkable thing occurred. Her previous doubt about our future vanished! It was cleared away with the ear gunk and she could see a definite possibility between us. I do not know what caused the revelation but I am sure the candles helped out. This was a huge relief for me even though I was sure of us.

She is in Japan now on her way to New Zealand for a year. Thanks for providing us with a way to "see the light."
