| It is rare to almost impossible
to find perfect pH mud and water on the surface of our Great
Mother Earth. Because of the age of this deposit, the ley line
influence and the ice cold, deep earth waters that spring to the
surface through the lake, this Marl has a higher alkalinity then
most other clays found around the world. This alkalinity is also
responsible for the existence of a climatic zone called a ‘Tropical
Fen for a northern climate’ surrounding the perimeter of the
lake. This allows plants, herbs and animals to exist and thrive
here, that are not typical only one miles away.
Marl achieves its healing
results due to its alkalinity and due to the negative charge
properties associated with the molecular structure of clay. If
you can imagine a molecule shaped like a calling card,
rectangular in shape and very thin. Within this shape, the top
and bottom flat spaces are negatively charged, while the
hairline edge that goes around the rectangle is positively
charged. This creates a predominant negative charge, which
naturally draws positively charged particles towards the marl.
Most oils, cosmetics, toxins,
etc, that are trapped in the first few levels of our skin have a
positive charge. When marl is applied to the skin and allowed to
dry, it naturally draws these unwanted components from the
cellular tissues of the skin into the marl. (Marl is never
reused after an application for this reason, as it has absorbed
unwanted components that you do not want to re-expose to your
skin. It can be thrown into compost or just onto your garden or
any soil area).
Marl also exhibits other unique
properties, which are explained to much deeper detail in a
wonderful publication by Ran Knishinshy entitled "The
Healing Power of Clay". It is available through
our store front as well as other sources.
Following are a few quotes from
his book:
"Clay has a negative
electrical attraction for particles that are positively charged.
In the organism (body) most of the toxic poisons are positively
charged. These toxins are irresistibly drawn towards the clay.
Moreover, according to an authority on ‘clay’s particles
being shaped like a ‘calling card’ with the wide surfaces
negative and the edges of the card positive, have many times
more negative than positive pulling power."
"The rectangular shape of
its particles allows a constant interplay of energies in the
give and take process. It may be this constant switching from
negative to positive charges that makes the clay a healing agent
for so many different types of diseases."
It is these same negative ion
properties in beeswax that accounts for the air cleaning
properties.
Clay has renowned use from
modern times back through ancient and biblical times for healing
and curing many maladies. Much information and details relative
to these applications is within this publication. We have
personally used marl for umpteen uses with wonderful results:
Poison
Ivy and Oak Acne and overactive skin
Bruises
Organ Poultices (liver, kidney, etc.)
Boils
and Ulcers Surface body detoxification
Insect
bits …. and much more. |
